Most powerful of the Ghede, Baron Samedi is the loa of death and controls the passageway between the world of the living and the world of the dead. This is his veve, usually drawn with chalk or flour during ceremones. Above his symbol floats a skull wearing the Baron's favorite hat, and the words Crossing Over.
